Remedy Lounge Ltd. Privacy Policy

Remedy Lounge Ltd is committed to complying with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) governing privacy of personal information by businesses and to protecting and safeguarding your privacy when you deal with us. Remedy Lounge Ltd is currently Data Protection Registered with ICO. 

We will never disclose your personal information to any third party unless we have your permission to do so, or as is otherwise required under section 3 of this Privacy policy.

This Privacy Policy contains important information and explains:

  • how and why we collect about you, our users
  • what we do with your information, and who your information may be shared with
  • what controls you have over our use of data

Remedy Lounge Ltd. are a ‘data controller’ for the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation, are responsible for, and control the processing of, your personal information.

Some information provided to us by clients, customers, contractors and other third parties might be considered private or personal. Without these details we would not be able to carry on our business and provide our services to you. We will only collect such personal information if it is necessary for one of our functions or activities.

2.     Personal information is collected from people in the following situations by Remedy Lounge Ltd

  • If you contact Remedy Lounge Ltd. we may keep a record of that correspondence. 
  • If you open an account with Remedy Lounge you will complete an online application form. We will then store this information for 12 months after the last booking is made or when you close your account. This information is stored on a secure computer.
  • When you sign a contract with us for room hire we hold this information for 12 months after the end of the contract. This information is stored on a secure computer.
  • When you submit your e-mail address to our web site mailing list

Remedy Lounge Ltd is committed to maintaining accurate, timely, relevant and appropriate information about our customers and web-site users – we may ask you to confirm your details we hold are still up to date on occasion.

3.  Use and Disclosure of information

At or before the time the personal information is collected by us we will take reasonable steps to ensure that you are made aware of who we are, the fact that you are able to gain access to the information held about you, the purpose of the collection, the type(s) of organisations to which we usually disclose the information collected about you, any laws requiring the collection of the information and the main consequences for you if all or part of the information is not collected.

  • Where you have provided contact information to our third party partners in relation to the administration of your appointment, our services.
  • Our web site may contain links to other web sites and those third-party web sites may collect personal information about you. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other businesses or the content of web sites that are linked to our web site. Remedy Lounge Ltd. encourages users to be aware when they leave the site and to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information.

4. How we keep your Information Secure

Remedy Lounge Ltd places significant importance on the security of all information associated with our customers and contractors. We have security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of personal information under our control. All staff employed by Remedy Lounge Ltd are provided with a Remedy Lounge Privacy Policy and have received guidance on information governance and confidentiality on induction.

When your information is no longer required by us, personal information is de-identified or securely destroyed.

Information stored within our computer systems can only be accessed by those entrusted with authority and computer network password sanctions. Appointment software systems are password protected.

Remedy Lounge Ltd retains the information you provide to us including possibly your contact and credit card details to enable us to verify transactions and customer details and to retain adequate records for legal and accounting purposes, for the minimum required retention period. This information is held securely in controlled facilities.

5.Remember The Risks Whenever You Use The Internet

While we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information that you transmit to Remedy Lounge Limited and you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of any passwords or other account information. In addition other Internet sites or services that may be accessible through Remedy Lounge Limited have separate data and privacy practices independent of us, and therefore we disclaim any responsibility or liability for their policies or actions.

6 External Sites

Remedy Lounge Limited is not responsible for the content of external internet sites. You are advised to read the privacy policy of external sites before disclosing any personal information.

7. Cookies

A “cookie” is a small data text file that is placed in your browser and allows Remedy Lounge Limited to recognize you each time you visit this site(customisation etc). Cookies themselves do not contain any personal information, and Remedy Lounge Limited does not use cookies to collect personal information. Cookies may also be used by 3rd party content providers such as newsfeeds.

8. Access to and correction of personal information:

If your request for your personal information is in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), then we will give you access to that information

Inaccurate information will be corrected upon receiving advice to this effect from you. To ensure confidentiality, details of your personal information will be passed on to you only if we are satisfied that the information relates to you.

If we refuse to provide you with access or correct the personal information held about you by us, then we will provide reasons for such refusal

9. Complaints.

If you have a complaint about our Privacy Policy or the collection, use or safe disposal or destruction of your personal information, your complaint should be directed in the first instance to us by email to info@remedylounge.co.uk. We will investigate your complaint and attempt to resolve any breach that might have occurred in relation to the collection, use or destruction of personal information held by us about you in accordance with the GDPR. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of this procedure, then you may request that an independent person, usually the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), investigate your complaint. 10. Changes to Privacy Policy.

If Remedy Lounge Ltd changes its Privacy Policy, it will post changes on this Privacy Policy page so that users are always aware of what information is collected, how it is used and the way in which information may be disclosed.
